Tempo 468 LAN Network Cable Tester tests a variety of LAN cable parameters including open and short circuits, reversed and transposed pairs and has an active circuit alert.

Greenlee 402K CATV Cable Tone and Trace Set is a standard for test kit for identifying CATV cables.  All major cable companies are using it for this purpose.  The Greenlee 402K tone and probe produces signal strong enough to go through splitters, traps or directional couplers.  Tagging of coax cable drops is easy with 402K now. The 402K yields audible and visual signals to help identify distribution cables and individual wire pairs.  There are 4 different tones, and as a result technicians can trace up to 4 different cables at the same time.

Byte Brothers CTX590 ProTone Tone Generator and Trace Probe Kit generates strong tone for wire identification and location.  The CTX590 tone and probe test continuity and voltage.  It is a preferred tool for LAN cable identification and basic testing.
