Kurth Electronic POECheck Power over Ethernet Tester Description:

Kurth Electronic POECheck Power over Ethernet Tester. Many Ethernet devices like IP phones, wireless access points and security cameras require power through structured wiring originally intended only for data.

Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) like hubs and routers, or mid-point sources can provide this power, but there is no way to check a data receptacle for the service by using a conventional device like a multimeter. This is only possible with a tester that will HANDSHAKE with the PSE to verify PoE capability.

The Kurth Electronic POEcheck is small and easy-to-use tester that checks for the availability of PoE at the LAN jack. It also shows what IEEE 802.3af system is in use - type A or type B. POEcheck handles the protocols without user intervention. Plug in the POEcheck with the included test cable or a handy patch cord and let the LEDs speak. Made in Germany.
